Great Advice about Adding Value to Your Home for Sale

Having been in the remodeling/construction industry most of my life, and with my half-dozen years as a Realtor, I can attest to the truth of this excellent article from Realtor.com. Using Consumer Reports as their source, they list five easy things a “seller may [do] to boost the value of their home by an additional 12 percent…On a median, single-family home priced at $205,000, that could be a potential gain of $24,600.”

1. Declutter. (Can’t over emphasize this! This market is highly competitive right now because inventory is high. And de-cluttering is free!)
2. Makeover the kitchen.
3. Freshen up the bathroom.
4. Paint.
5. Exterior touch ups.
